It wasn't hard for Kokatsu to grow mildly irritated with the humans she tended to hand around, so to get a break, she often migrated several days away to hunt in the deeper, less explored parts of the Amazon, especially along the shores of the river. Sure, humans passed through, but at some of the parts that separated from the main river, the ones that traveled deep into the jungles, only fools would follow them. These such divergents happened to be Kokatsu's favorite place to linger. Here prey abounded since all came to the river to drink. For days she lingered aroubd the shores in darkness, taking her prey by surprise and simply enjoying the peace that these secluded parts gave her. That is until something came clanking and cutting through HER area, which flared up the territorial part in her, but at the same time, made her fill with curiosity. She'd never heard such a thing in her life, nor seen. To stay hidden, she kept far away, hidden between the trees and undergrowth, becoming darkness. The only downfall was that she only saw glimpses of her intruder: flashes of amber gold, green, and a limber but strange form. Kokatsu couldn't piece the creature together.. So finally, she set out to the river, waiting till the other was near, then came out to get a drink, giving it a stare with fans lifted slightly. Kokatsu meant no harm, but just wanted to understand her 'guest' and perhaps determine whether or not it was friend.. Or foe. @harvest

Trees. Loathsome things. Those dense, thick irritations did nothing more than cover up the land and make it harder to find anything useful.
Harvest had the misfortune of the jungle being its dropoff point from the alien fleet. As an advance scout its job was primarily to survey the situation, and for that reason they wanted to bring the giant bug far away from any prying eyes. There likely wouldn't be any material of use there, but something that big would draw far too much attention if directly dropped near a major city. No, if Harvest wanted to get a closer look at this planet, its inhabitants, and its precious resources, it would have to do so with its own two feet.
The insect's cybernetic eyepiece rotated from green to red as it looked around, gazing down at the trees that it walked near. Heat. Life. The jungle was lousy with it, nearly all of these trees giving off their own heat signatures. The reassuring dullness of cold, hard metal, if even present, was choked out in the mess. These were no conditions to work in, and if Harvest wanted to make this trip worthwhile it would need to get out of this forest as soon as possible.
Clunk-CLUNK, clunk-CLUNK. Its footsteps were uneven, one of light chitin and heavy steel. The creature's recent foot injury still vexed it to this day, and made subtle navigation more annoying than it needed to be. With that in mind, was it any wonder the cybernetic kaiju was spotted? Behind the great trees was occasional flashes of another being, the heat signature given off far greater than that of the trees before it. The more Harvest passed the the more pieces of the puzzle were revealed to it. First a tail. Then legs, two sets, attached to a large body. A surprisingly long neck. Finally a frilled head, capping the quadrupedal kaiju.
And it was staring right at Harvest.
The first instinct of the kaiju was to hide, pressing against one of the larger trees to try and escape the strange beast's gaze. Harvest had rarely seen creatures of its own size. In fact, it was pretty sure the kaiju it was observing now was even bigger, judging by how large the flashes of blue were between the trees. However, it also knew that sudden movements were an easy way to startle wildlife. Smaller ones usually ran off in a panic, but one as large as this? Harvest had no idea if it proved hostile or not.
The cyborg leaned out from behind the tree again, matching the quadruped's eye contact. Its eye lens shifted once more, red giving way to yellow, as it tried to get a closer look at the other kaiju. Telescopic vision was the perfect way to do that without getting in clawing range, in case the creature did prove hostile.

Oh how right she had been about this new being.. She'd never seen anything so strange and foreign in her entire life, and she had seen many things, all of which were the creation of mankind. This 'thing', this creature, was of no human creation. In the back of her mind, she pondered if it might be one of the other kaiju, but perhaps one of the aliens. The beings attacking the earth that she cared not about. Either way, alien or not, she was going in for a closer look. After she finished her drink, she walked across the river, much like a human walking across a stream, her six legs carring her over easily. However, she didn't move very quickly, she didn't want to startle the already shy creature. It was smaller than she, at least in body mass, but was taller than she as she did not walk on two legs like some of the other kaiju. The being seemed frightened, on edge, and if she was honest, she was too. Kokatsu carefully came up and sniffed it, cirling it, rubbing her feelers and body against it in a attempt to understand it, carefully avoiding the sharp spikes in places along its body. Kokatsu was probably scaring it even more, but she only wished to understand it. Hell she even lightly bit on of its legs, just to taste it, using no teeth, like a mother cat picking up her baby, gentle but just enough to get a taste and a feel for it, and it tasted like nothing she had ever eaten, but had the texture of small crabs she sometimes ate. The bigger kaiju left her own body open for the other to touch and feel, observe and understand her as well as she wanted to prove to the creature she meant no ill will. Her gaze finally settled back on its, staring into its strange, insect-like eyes, getting close to the creature's face, all fans flared to observe the body heat and vibrations its form gave off, taking in the smell of it, then breathing it out through the holes along her next. Kokatsu nosed the creature's face as best and and as gentle as she could, rubbing a few fans along the proboscis of the creature, to gather the feel of it whilst she stared into its other strange eye. It did not match the rest of the body, which puzzles her greatly. Finally, she slunk back to give it space, having thoroughly examined it, and just staring. It had proved no threat, and she had offered none, so she snorted at it, wishing suddenly she could speak. Then again, maybe it couldn't speak either, and even if they both could, would they even know the same language to speak with. For now, all she had was body language, in which ahe presented herself as dominant, but not agressive. She was the top of the food chain here, way before any other creature, so she didn't fear the newcomer, but that didn't mean she was going to welcome it easily. It was trespassing in HER forest, and if it was trying to lay claim to her lands, it had another thing coming. @harvest
