That's A Lot of Fish
The large serpent began to stomp his way on to a small island beach. The creature knew that this was a place that he could be at peace. He didn't have to deal with humans...aliens....other Kaiju. He could be alone and no one to attack him. It was just him and this small island. Zilla had roamed this island before, as it only took him about 5 minutes or so to make it around the whole island. That's how small this place was.
Actually, there was a bigger reason why he had a fondness for this island. This was the island that he had first met his lover, Komodithrax. They weren't the best looking couple, as the two were still of different yet close species. He had felt such a fondness for her, but one day, she had got up and left. He knew she was somewhere in the large bodies of water that encircled the globe. He just hoped that she hadn't gotten herself in trouble with the other squabbles that were happening all over the world.
Zilla groaned as he walked towards the other side of the island, breaking trees and disturbing the rest of the wild life as he trudged along. The beast soon found a small cavern that had been scratched into the earth. He had made this hole a long time ago, which he did time from time to have some small shelter from incoming storms. Speaking of storms, the giant lizard knew one was coming upon the islands not too long from now.
He sniffled as Zilla tried to find the right position to sleep in. It was hard sleeping in these big holes, but he had gotten pretty use to it. It's kinda like a dog that rolls around in their sleep. Some say it's their dreams, other say it's because they are trying to get comfortable. Zilla had known he had been able to do both.
As the storm loomed over the island, rain began to pour down from the sky onto the scaly creature. He felt the tiny drops landing on his body, making him twist and turn in his sleep. Zilla found that he was just happy to get some sleep, which he hadn't had in weeks. Well, at least he could rest easy for now.
